What a cookie does here

This site keeps a small amount of data in your browser so it behaves sensibly between visits. Most of it is local storage rather than cookies, which means it never travels to a server.

What we store

• cookie-consent — whether you accepted or declined, so the notice stops asking.
• tc.compare — the products you pinned to the compare tray.
• tc.rig — the kit you assembled in the Gear-Up Builder.

Third parties

Affiliate links set their own cookies on the retailer's domain once you follow them. Aggregate analytics may set a cookie to avoid counting you twice.

Clearing it

Clear site data in your browser settings and all of the above disappears. Declining the notice stops anything optional; the site keeps working.

Note for local review: browsers do not share local storage between file:// pages, so this notice can reappear per page when the site is opened from disk. Served from a domain it behaves normally.
